  1. I cannot wait to read this book. Please finish it soon! Your prologues are beautifully written and read. I remember as a child praying to be turned into a boy – and also to grow up to marry Bobby Sherman. I never saw a conflict between these two things. People are so complex!

  3. I have known Ben since he was born. Even though it has been over 30 years since we have seen each other, I want him to know am so glad he is well and happy, and not at all surprised he had the courage to make the changes necesssary to have a full and rewarding life.

  4. Incredible interview! Eye opening, mind opening, heartwarming, important. Thank you Ben and Mary, and thank you Liz for sharing so much of your story. Ben and Mary, Liz is right, you need to go on the teaching circuit. This is one non-fiction book I will be watching for. I’m not transgendered but I see a real need for these stories to be told and told well. It looks like you are on track to do that.

Book title? How about “Growing into No Labels” ’cause wouldn’t that be wonderful.

My wish for Ben and Mary as well as Liz and her husband is at least forty more years together.
